Nomad Insurance Complete: pricing reconciliation and structured data (US$177.50)

Page: https://explore.safetywing.com/nomad-insurance-complete CMS: HubSpot site page (content id 416460549351, pricing module module_Pricing_Section_version_1). Title, meta and head HTML are edited in HubSpot; the hero price line sits in the hero module; the base price sits in the Pricing Section module. Anchor price: US$177.50 per month, ages 18-39, 12-month plan. SafetyWing's decision: the hero, safetywing.com's JSON-LD and the newest reviews are right; the HubSpot calculator module's base value (US$161.50) is the stale element and is the thing to fix. Every chosen value below is a best guess for SafetyWing to confirm; section 5 lists them.

1. What the page says today, and why it conflicts

The hero reads "$177.50 /month for ages 18-39, in USD". The pricing calculator underneath, in both its monthly and annual tabs, lists "Base coverage $161.50" before any age is selected (the age dropdown sits on "Under 18" as a placeholder and the total reads $00.00 until a visitor picks an age). The $161.50 line carries no age label anywhere on the page. The only age-labelled figure is the hero's $177.50.
The evidence points to the calculator as the stale element:
  • safetywing.com/nomad-insurance (the main product page, Next.js) shows "177.50 / month for ages 18-39" for the Complete plan and carries JSON-LD with price: 177.5 for the Complete offer. Nothing on safetywing.com mentions 161.50.
  • Third-party reviews are split by date. Pieces from roughly five to six months ago quote US$161.50 for ages 18-39; the most recent ones (two to eight weeks old) quote US$177.50, and one describes an annual-billing price of US$159.75. None of them treats the gap as an age-band difference.
The pattern is consistent with a 2026 price change to US$177.50 that reached the hero and safetywing.com but not the static base value inside the HubSpot calculator module. The copy and schema below use US$177.50 throughout, and the calculator module is listed as the fix in section 4.

2. Corrected headline, meta and Open Graph copy

Applies the Nomad suite messaging rules: full product name on first mention, "US$" before the amount, age bracket and billing period always stated, "coverage" and "plan" rather than "insurance" and "policy", and none of the banned words ("peace of mind" is in the current meta description).

Hero price line (hero module)

Current:
$177.50 /month for ages 18-39, in USD
Replace with:
US$177.50 /month for ages 18-39, 12-month plan
The amount stays; the format changes so it matches the suite guide and the calculator. Optional small line beneath it, which lets the hero and the calculator agree without repeating the number: Other ages available in the calculator below.

Calculator base value (Pricing Section module)

Current, in both the "Paid monthly" and "Paid annually" tabs:

The og:image URL is the one safetywing.com/nomad-insurance already uses. If a Complete-specific image exists in the HubSpot file manager, use that instead; if neither is wanted, drop both image tags and keep twitter:card as summary.

One visible heading change (needed for the FAQ schema to mirror the page)

The current FAQ heading reads "I already have Nomad Insurance Essential" followed by an em-dash and "how can I switch to Complete?". Replace with:
I already have Nomad Insurance Essential. How can I switch to Complete?

3. Paste-ready JSON-LD

Paste both blocks into the page's head HTML in HubSpot (page settings, advanced options, additional head HTML), or into the template head if the module system is preferred. Every fact in the schema appears in the visible page once the calculator base value is updated; nothing is introduced that the body does not state.

Notes on what was left out, deliberately:
  • The add-on lines in the calculator ("Hong Kong, Singapore & US $810.00", "Electronics theft $216.00") are not modelled as offers. The page does not say whether those amounts are per month or per year, and the "Dental coverage $" line is blank. Add them once the module shows a unit.
  • No aggregateRating. The page shows six testimonials but no rating or review count, so there is nothing to mirror.
  • No alternateName: "Nomad Health". The rename note was removed from the meta description; add the alternateName only if a visible "formerly Nomad Health" line stays on the page.

Block B: FAQPage (mirrors the five visible questions)

In general, covering pre-existing conditions would vastly increase the price of the insurance, as we would have to cover everyone's existing health issues. By excluding pre-existing conditions, we can keep prices lower and focus on covering new, unexpected health issues that arise after the plan starts." } }, { "@type": "Question", "name": "Can I cancel my plan during the 12-month contract?", "acceptedAnswer": { "@type": "Answer", "text": "Complete plans are a 12-month commitment. You can request cancellation within the first 15 days of your coverage starting or when it renews. If you cancel midway through your contract, you may only be refunded up to 65% of any coverage you paid for but didn't use, unless you have a qualifying life event (i.e., you get married and get added to your spouse's health insurance), in which case you will be refunded in full." } } ] } </script>

FAQ content source for the Next.js site
Row 1 is the only amount change in the set. Rows 2 to 4 keep US$177.50 and add the billing period and age band the suite guide requires.
Rows 5 and 6 are an age-band disagreement, not an amount disagreement: the visible Essential calculator and headline say "ages 18-39"; the meta and FAQ say "10-39". The suite messaging guide requires the same figure and wording everywhere, so the visible band wins. If the Essential calculator prices ages 10-39 at the same US$62.72, change the visible headline to "ages 10-39" instead and leave rows 5 and 6 alone.
Checked and consistent (no change needed): the Complete page's own title, meta and og tags (no price in them today); safetywing.com home (no prices); /glossary (no prices); /nomad-insurance/faq title and meta (no prices); the Essential JSON-LD offer amount 62.72 (amount agrees; only the billing period is missing, so add billingDuration 4 WEE while row 4 is being edited). Nomad Citizen pricing is outside this brief.
Related wording conflicts seen on the way through, outside the price scope but worth one ticket: the Complete page's FAQ says claims are "reimbursed in 21 days or less", while the safetywing.com FAQ JSON-LD says "10 days or less"; and the Complete page says "175 countries" while the Essential page says "180+". The suite guide's "one fact, one wording" rule applies to both.

5. Values that are best guesses, for SafetyWing to confirm

  1. US$177.50 is the current Complete base price for ages 18-39. Chosen on SafetyWing's decision that the hero, safetywing.com's JSON-LD and the newest reviews are right and the calculator module is stale. Confirm against the checkout for a 25-year-old before shipping row 1.
  2. "12-month plan" as the billing qualifier. The calculator shows "Paid monthly / 12-month commitment" and "Paid annually / 12-month commitment" with the same base value in both tabs. If annual billing carries a different per-month price (one review quotes US$159.75), the annual tab needs its own figure and the schema needs a second Offer.
  3. Essential age band is 18-39 rather than 10-39 (rows 5 and 6).
  4. og:image reuse of the safetywing.com Nomad Insurance image for the Complete page.
  5. sameAs list: six profiles already linked from the safetywing.com footer or its existing Organization schema. No Wikipedia, Crunchbase or Wikidata entry was verified, so none is included.
Once rows 1 to 4 ship, one number appears in the hero, the calculator, the meta description, the JSON-LD on this page, and the JSON-LD on safetywing.com/nomad-insurance. Today there are two.
